# Terminology

> Rename any label in the viewer to match how your market talks.

Not every market says *room* or *floor*. The **Terminology** tab of the [style editor](/customize/style-editor) lets you replace any built-in label with your own wording.

## How it works

Each row is a pair: the **default label** on the left, and **what to show instead** on the right.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add a row">
    Click **+ Add override**, or click one of the **Common keys** chips to pre-fill the left side.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Type the replacement">
    Fill the right-hand field with your wording.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the preview">
    The live preview updates as you type. Remove a row with the **×**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Common keys

The suggestion chips cover the labels people most often rename:

* `Private Tour`
* `Request Information`
* `All Floors`
* `Back to Floor`
* `Back to exterior`
* `Floorplan view`
* `Room view`
* `3D Tour`

You are not limited to the suggestions — type any default label exactly as it appears in the viewer and it will be replaced.

## Examples

| Default             | Replaced with  | Why                      |
| ------------------- | -------------- | ------------------------ |
| Request Information | Book a viewing | Matches the agency's CTA |
| All Floors | All levels | Local wording |
| Private Tour | Guided visit | Softer tone |
| Room view           | Units          | Multi-unit terminology   |

<Warning>
  The left-hand side must match the default label **exactly**, including capitalisation. `request information` will not match `Request Information`.
</Warning>

## Terminology and languages

Overrides apply to the **base English** version of the Visit. When a visitor switches to another language, the translated interface strings are used instead — because your override is written in English and would look out of place.

To reword a label in another language, edit that string in the [Translations](/features/languages) tab.
