Every property you create gets a public link straight away. You will find it in Settings → Style & Embed, under Planpoint URL, with an Open and a Copy button.

The public URL, ready to copy

The default URL

New properties are given a random, unguessable slug:
It works immediately, it is not listed anywhere, and it is not indexed by search engines — so a Visit is effectively private until you share the link.

Custom URLs

Pro feature

Customising the URL requires the Pro plan.
On Pro, the Public URL field becomes editable and you can replace the random string with something readable:
Rules:
  • Letters, numbers and hyphens only — spaces are converted to hyphens and everything is lower-cased as you type
  • At least 3 characters
  • Must be unique across all Planpoint Visit properties
  • A short list of reserved words (like api, admin, login) cannot be used
Changing the slug breaks the old link. Anything already sent by email, printed on a brochure or embedded elsewhere will stop working. Settle on the URL before you distribute it.
Older Visits used a /v/<slug> path. Those links still work and redirect to the flat URL, so nothing you have shared in the past needs updating.

Sharing a Visit

Email and messaging

Paste the link into a mail or a WhatsApp message. The social preview shows the exterior photo automatically.

Portals

Add it as the virtual tour URL on the portals that accept one.

QR code

Generate a QR code from the link for window cards and printed brochures.

Your website

Embed it directly in your own listing page.

Taking a Visit offline

To take a Visit offline without losing its content, use Archive Visit in Settings → Details. The public URL and any existing embeds stop working until you restore it, but the URL itself and all Visit data stay saved. See Archive and restore Visits. Marking a property as sold in Details is different: it adds a sold badge but leaves the Visit public. Deleting from the danger zone permanently removes the Visit instead of archiving it.
